On Oct. 30, Gettysburg College Professor Emeritus Ken Mott passed away. Mott taught at the College for 51 years, and he contributed significantly to the Political Science Department, The Eisenhower Institute, and the Public Policy Program.

Mott’s colleagues and students appreciated his dedication and guidance. He co-authored numerous papers with students, and he received the Gettysburg College Distinguished Teaching Award in 2003.

“The foundation laid and cultivated during Professor Mott’s extraordinary tenure at Gettysburg College was apparent the very first time I stepped foot on campus,” said Fielding Center Director and Assistant Political Science Professor Scott Boddery. “His legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to serve as a steadfast archetype to both present and future Gettysburgians.”
