On Wednesday, Gettysburg College hosted a CUB Ballroom Unveiling Celebration, inviting the entire campus community to enjoy and explore the newly renovated space. The reception consisted of guided mini-tours of the technology enhancements, the physical modifications, the new equipment, and the behind-the-scenes operations. Guests were also invited to enjoy refreshments and appetizers.
President Iuliano spoke about the importance of the renovated Ballroom, stating that it is “the front door of the College.”
“It is a way in which we introduce ourselves to prospective students and families. It’s a way in which we come together, as a community, to celebrate the work that we do here,” he elaborated.
Iuliano also thanked the key employees who worked on the renovation: Associate Vice President of Facilities Planning & Management James Biesecker, Director of Capital Projects Chris Elwood, Stone House Group Representative Robert Butch, Assistant Director of Scheduling and Event Support John Rudy ’07, Director of Facilities Services and Communications Jennifer Coale and Director of Student Activities and Greek Life. Their work allowed them to complete the project on time and under budget.
