Two years after the College dining option, the Bullet Hole, was renamed to the Gettysburg Spot (G-Spot), a notable campus group’s absence has not gone unnoticed. Members of the Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), campus’s self-proclaimed conservative youth activism organization, have failed to find the G-Spot, even though it’s in the same spot it has always been.

Speaking of his frustrations, one member of YAF complained: “it’s obvious the G-Spot is just a myth created by Bob and DEI. I mean, if the Young Americans for Freedom can’t find the G-Spot, it definitely doesn’t exist.”

We also spoke with John Myers ’25, a trans male student standing in line for chicken finger Friday, about the confusion regarding the G-Spot’s location.

“I don’t understand the issue,” he remarked. “I found the G-Spot in like five minutes. Just get a feel for the space, and look online if you need some extra help. Now, I can even find it in the dark!”

A lawyer with the national YAF organization has since reached out to the school, threatening to sue if the College keeps promoting the G-Spot at the “expense of its members.” These actions prompted a campus-wide email from President Bob Iuliano.

“First and foremost, the College is driven by our mission and values. This starts with an unwavering commitment to the freedom of movement. We create an environment that encourages anyone to enter all campus spaces, including the G-Spot. The principles I have outlined today are not new to the College, and since its renaming, the G-Spot has been open for anyone, as long as you can locate it.”

As the situation progresses, the G-Spot is expected to remain at the center of controversy. As of April 1, it remains unclear if any legal action will be taken against the College.

  2. A joke about YAF could have the potential to be funny if only your current staff writers had the creative bandwidth to come up with a new punchline and the courage to put their name behind it.
