‘Bullets Team Challenge’ Raises Money For Athletics

By Owen Kutlu, Sports Editor

Beginning Dec. 3 at 8 a.m., the 2024 Bullets Team Challenge will kick off. This is the largest fundraiser of the year for all of the athletic programs. The challenge lasts a total of 36 hours, ending on Dec. 4 at 8 p.m.

Donations can be made directly to individual programs of your choice, with any amount being accepted. The money raised will go towards facility upgrades, equipment, team travel, and any other expenses needed throughout the season.

Last year was a record-setting year for the challenge, as a sum of  $516,231 was raised over the course of the event, stemming from 2,090 donors. This year, Gettysburg looks to exceed that mark with the help of alumni, family, and friends.

Teams go up against each other, seeing who can raise the most funds. The men’s lacrosse team brought in a whopping $71,402.24 to lead the pack last year. The women’s golf team earned the highest percentage above their goal, garnering 360% of their donor goal. The football and baseball team were not far behind, both more than doubling their goal.
