“The Committee and I are truly confident that Regan represents our class and will deliver a phenomenal speech at graduation,” wrote Michaels.

The email also provided background on Rightmire. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Organization and Management with a minor in Data Science. During her Gettysburg career, she has been a member of the women’s Lacrosse team, a member of Delta Gamma, the founder and editor of the 1863 Magazine and works with the management department as a Peer Learning Associate (PLA).

Following graduation, Righmire will pursue a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication at New York University.

Rightmire reflected on being named as the commencement speaker, sharing, “I am absolutely honored to have been named the commencement speaker for this year’s graduation ceremony. I would not be here today without the guidance and support from my professors, friends, and family, and I am looking forward to representing our class on this special day!”
