On April 2, the Gettysburgives Festival took place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Gettysburgives was held to thank the generous donors who support Gettysburg College.
Due to rain, the event was primarily held in Plank Gym. Students enjoyed games, music, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, tie-dye and prizes. There also were postcards and a banner for students to sign. Behind Plank Gym, there were free food trucks including Ziggy Donutz, Uncle Moe’s Soul Food and Taco Trap House, which were popular amongst both students and faculty members.
Director of Annual Giving Nicki West shared that as of Thursday afternoon, the event raised $955,394, but gifts were still being counted.
