Student Concerns
Lemon reviewed last week’s concerns and delivered updates on progress or resolutions. Over the weekend two new bike racks were installed near Patrick Hall and Ice Complex, expanding the campus rental system.
The dishwasher in Servo broke down last week, requiring students to use paper plates for their meals. Servo staff responded to Lemon’s communication stating that they are always working on troubleshooting and that the issue would not happen again. The dining services brought new updates to nutritional information through a new app: FD MealPlanner. FD uses information from the USDA as well as compiled data from food the dining services already use to give accurate nutritional information. As the app is new, there are still updates that need to be made to have all the recipes and information accurately uploaded. Lemon also announced the dining hall is currently looking for new staff. Interested applicants can apply by emailing dining services: diningoffice@gettsyburg.edu.
Lemon addressed the concern around stolen packages at the Gettysburg Post Office and the interruption occurring on campus. Mike Bishop is currently meeting with the Gettysburg Police Department as well as representatives from the United States Postal Service (USPS). There is a form that students may use to process a refund request.
There was a past concern surrounding students connected with the Office of Multicultural Engagement (OME) and textbook costs. Students who need financial aid with textbooks should email OME@gettysburg.edu.
New concerns included poor wifi on Carlisle St. specifically in Civil War House, oversaturated parking on Carlisle St. lots, lack of peep-holes on some theme house doors and access to faith-based counseling services.

The Executive Board opened a discussion surrounding the goals of the Board. Senators suggested more transparency with the student body, increased visibility at senate-funded events and a shift in language around student-led discussions.
