Campus Safety Sends out Email about Vehicle Thefts on Carlisle and Water Street

By Katie Oglesby, Editor-in-Chief

On Tuesday, Executive Director of Campus Safety Alex Wiltz sent out a campus-wide email noting that three individuals were entering unlocked cars in the 223 Carlisle Street lot and along Water Street.

Wiltz said Campus Safety became aware of this around 3 a.m. Campus Safety and the Gettysburg Police Department (GPD) located two of the individuals reponsible, but the third has yet to be found.

Wiltz said that if anyone has a car parked in the Water Street area to ensure that nothing is missing in their vehicle, and to contact GPD or Campus Safety if something is missing.

Wiltz reminded the campus community to lock their vehicles and report any theft they see to the police.
