Tomorrow begins week two of online classes, as well as week two of the Great Work from Home initiative here at the Gettysburgian. First, we want to thank you for your contributions during week one: your playlists, your photos, your reflections. We have been so delighted with your responses, and we hope that you will continue to engage with us in the weeks to come.
This week, we will be continuing with the features we introduced last week, as well as a few new ones. Here are the ways you can continue to participate in our ongoing features:
- Submit a hometown spotlight: a photo of your hometown (or wherever it is you are) and a few words to tell us something about the place or what it means to you
- Share your GTAG (Good Times at Gettysburg): a photo of life on campus at its best
- Make a Great Work from Home playlist: should be roughly an hour long and should be available on Spotify
We are also issuing a new challenge this week: in honor of Gettysburg sunsets, we’d like you to submit your best sunset photos, whether they were taken on campus or in your hometown. You can share your sunset with us here, and we’ll feature them in our daily updates and on social media.
In addition, you can anticipate some Gettysburgian mischief on April 1, with our annual April Fools edition (now running online only).
We will issue another Great Work from Home update next weekend, with a new challenge for the following week. We hope you will continue to be a part of this project as it develops, and that it becomes a meaningful way for us all to stay connected.
Remember, you can take us out of Gettysburg, but you can’t take Gettysburg out of us!
