In a note from Professor of Theatre Arts Chris Kauffman: “Next to Normal, a Pulitzer Prize winning dramatic musical will open in October in Kline Theatre. It follows the story of a woman who is suffering from bi polar disorder and how her condition affects her family. It is directed by guest director Bruce Moore who has performed on Broadway in several musical productions. The show goes up during Parents Weekend. Directing scenes and Tyra’s Capstone go up this semester—those shows are TBD next week. Auditions for a theatrical adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Sense and Sensibility penned by Kate Hamill will take place in November. I will be directing that show which goes up in February in Kline. Finally, Macbeth plays in April and will be directed by Lana Russell. Auditions will be next semester.”

Jennifer Clogg '21 hails from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She intends to double major in English and Spanish and is undecided on any minors. Jennifer is an editor and planner of contests for The Gettysburgian. As a Gettysburg student, she plans to participate in theater and intramural softball. Fun fact: Throughout all of high school theater, Jennifer only played a female character once because she came from a very small high school with many more girls in the theater program than boys, leading her often to take male roles that the other girls were unwilling to fill.
