Summer Reading Launch Party
Musselman Library invites you to join us Thursday, May 2nd from 11-1 p.m. on the library patio (rain location: main floor) for the release of the 2019 installment of You’ve Gotta Read This! This summer reading booklet compiles books and films recommended by Gettysburg College faculty, staff, and administrators.
At the party, you can pick up your copy hot off the presses, scope out some of the titles in the booklet that will be on hand, and learn about how you can access Musselman Library’s ebook collection from any vacation destination. Light refreshments will be provided.
We hope to see you there to celebrate the 17th year of You’ve Gotta Read This! and to have a little fun before finals week!
End of Semester and Finals Week Updates
As the academic year is rapidly coming to a close, here is a friendly reminder of what is available at Musselman Library to help make your last week of classes and Finals Week productive and, hopefully, a little less stressful.
Research Help: There are friendly librarians, interns, and Peer Research Mentors standing by at Research Help Desk, ready to assist you with your research or citation questions. We will even help you find a book on the shelf. Stop by the desk in person, email ask@gettysburg.edu, text 717-473-4532, or use the chat on the library ASK page.
Extended Hours: Starting Friday, May 3, the library will be open even longer! Friday, the library will stay open until 11:00 p.m., and then will open early on Saturday, May 4 at 8 a.m. The doors will not close until Saturday, May 11 at 5 p.m. Enjoy full 24/7 access during Finals Week.
Finals Study Break: On Monday, May 6, the semi-annual Finals Study Break will be taking place from 5-7 p.m. Stop by the library’s front patio to enjoy popsicles and decorate flower pots to take home! If it rains, we will have the event in Room 018 on the ground floor of the library. Take some time to de-stress and have fun.
Final Reminders: All borrowed library materials (including Interlibrary Loan) are due back on or before Friday, May 10.
