The Monday, Feb. 18 Student Senate meeting saw a presentation by Executive Director of Facilities Planning & Management James Biesecker and Assistant Director of Services and Communications Lauren Ahlquist regarding facilities operations on campus.

Biesecker and Ahlquist showed the room how to submit a work order and discussed how to get into contact with facilities at any time of day. For a full recap of the presentation, watch The Gettysburgian’s Facebook live stream:

EMS club came to the floor with a budget request for its new “Stop the Bleed” program, which the club is implementing with the Department of Public Safety to help stop injuries via the spread of emergency kits. The full $3124.42 was allotted.

An opinion regarding Gettysburg College students access to feminine hygiene products was brought to the floor. The opinion recommends that the administration should work towards providing feminine hygiene products in ‘necessary’ restrooms on campus. On a 17-11 vote, the opinion was moved back to committee.

Student Senate will reconvene Monday, Feb. 25.
