That time of year is finally approaching… The event which Gettysburg students and alumni look forward to all year long, Springfest! As we all know by this point, this year’s Springfest concert will feature Sammy Adams on Friday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the ballroom. But what other fun events are planned for us this year? The fun started on Wednesday, April 25 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Stine Lake with the Greek Life Philanthropy Carnival Kickoff. Here, students could play fun carnival games and win prizes in order to support local and international philanthropic causes.

The fun continues on Thursday, April 26 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. outside of the Office of Multicultural Engagement. Swing by to talk to DPS about Violence Prevention while enjoying food from the Soul Burrito Food Truck and listening to live music! After you enjoy some food and live music, head over to The Attic from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. for Luau Themed-Pub Trivia. This event is sponsored by Quizbowl and The Attic Advisory Board, and prizes include Gettysburg College apparel and gift cards to local restaurants. Right after you win some prizes from your extensive luau knowledge, head over to the lawn between Bullet and the Field House from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. for a screening of the amazing new movie, Black Panther.

On Friday April 27, be sure to buy your $15 tickets for the Sammy Adams concert in CUB Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. From 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Stine Lake, come enjoy free food, inflatables, and live music. The food for the picnic, which is provided by Dining Services, will be offered until 1:30 p.m. Grab your sunscreen, prepare your appetite, and get ready for four days worth of fun in the sun! Or in the rainy Pennsylvania weather, man.
