The Gettysburg College men’s golf team has been consistently towards the top of leader board this Spring season, after having an impressive Fall season as well. Leading the way for Gettysburg has been sophomore Danny Harcourt.

Harcourt was a standout for Gettysburg in his debut season last year, and has continued his success into his sophomore year. He has gone back to back in first place individual finishes, with his most recent coming this past weekend at the Ursinus Invitational.

Harcourt shot a 2-over 72, his lowest round of the Spring, which put him in a threeway tie for first. However, on the card comparison, he was awarded the individual title as he had the lowest score on the 18th hole.

He also won the week before, with an individual title as the Hershey Cup. Harcourt shot a 2-over 73 last Sunday to finish the tournament with a 146 to beat out 86 other golfers. He has shot a 73 or better in eight of his last sixteen rounds this season, and leads the team with a scoring average of 74.1.

Harcourt and the Bullets is competing at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational this weekend. It will be their final tournament before the Centennial Conference Championships, where they will look to capture their first team title since 2002.
