Coming off a Centennial Conference win of 17-6 against Muhlenberg the Bullets are on the track to be competitive for the conference title once again. The Gettysburg men’s lacrosse team is currently ranked 15th in USILA top-20.

The team’s lead scorer, senior captain Sean Fumai, has demonstrated an outstanding performance for the Bullets this season thus far. In total Fumai has scored 24 goals, which has helped the bullets to be ranked 3rd in the Centennial Conference.

Fumai has come back strong this season after recovering from an injury back in the 2016 season against Salisbury. This season, starter Fumai has scored a career-high of five goals in two different games, one against Muhlenberg and another against Messiah. In the ten games the team has played, Fumai has contributed to the box score, scoring each game with a shots-on-goal average of .559 percent.

Being his second year as captain, it is evident that Fumai is a great role model for the younger players. Fumai’s hard work, dedication and passion for the game enable him to reach his many achievements for the Bullets.

The upcoming five games until the playoffs are important for the Bullets to keep their championship hopes alive. Fumai will be a key component of these games, as he will be looking to create scoring opportunities not only for himself, but other key offensive players.

The Gettysburg men’s lacrosse team will be playing at Musselman Stadium this upcoming Saturday in a Centennial Conference game against Swarthmore College. Keep an eye out for number 6 as Fumai continues to dominate on offense and keep his title as the leading scorer for the Bullets.
