#GBCTalks is a book-based discussion program designed to facilitate conversation about difficult issues in the Gettysburg College community. Join #GBCTalks for our Spring ’17 book group which will feature discussion of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah. Sign up for this four-part discussion series at libguides.gettysburg.edu/gbctalks and receive a free copy of the book (quantities are limited). Reserved books will be available for pick-up at the Musselman Library Checkout Desk.

All discussions will take place on Mondays, noon – 1:00 pm in Glatfelter Lodge. Spreading out our discussion will allow us to delve more deeply into themes of race, nationality, gender, and class. All levels of awareness welcome. Please mark your calendar for ALL four discussions.

  • 2/6/17, discuss chapters 1-10
  • 2/13/17, discuss chapters 11-23
  • 2/20/17, discuss chapters 24-40
  • 2/27/17, discuss chapters 41-end

#GBCTalks is sponsored by Musselman Library, the office of Diversity and Inclusion, and The Gettysburg Review.
