Understanding copyright law in the digital age can be challenging. Musselman Library will host multiple events the week of February 22-26 to highlight the ins and outs of Fair Use and to provide opportunities to engage in conversation with members of the college community. And there will be food!

  • Monday, February 22– Fair Use Week kick-off: Cake for library visitors on the main floor at 3 PM.  Look for table-top information graphics about copyright around the library.
  • Wednesday, February 24– Showing of The LEGO Movie at 7 PM, CUB 260. Fair Use discussion follows.  Light refreshments and raffle for LEGO set.
  • Thursday, February 25– Brown Bag Lunch on Fair Use topic for campus staff in Library Room 014 at 12 NOON.  Light refreshments.
Also: ACRL’s The Fair Use Factors webinar in Room 018 at 2 PM.
  • All Week– A good time to vote with LEGOs.  An exhibit featuring three Fair Use questions allowing anyone to vote yes or no using LEGOs will be displayed the entire week behind the Research Help Desk on the main floor.  Copyright Committee bookmarks will be available for anyone interested.
