Monday, Sept. 7
Men’s golf at Dickinson Fall Invitational
- Gettysburg opens fall season with a first-place finish out of 24 teams for their A-Team and a fourth-place finish for their B-Team. Andrew Ekstrom led the Bullets with a two-day score of 138, his best career score, which tied for second. Liam Houlihan fired a five-under par 67 on Monday, the lowest round of the weekend.
Wednesday, Sept. 9
Volleyball at York
- The Bullets (5-1) take control of York (1-3), 3 games to 0. Clare Farrell led with 12 kills and five digs, and Emma Bradshaw had eight kills and four blocks.
Women’s soccer at Shenandoah
- The Bullets (0-1-1) were bested by Shenandoah (2-1) 4-2 in their midweek matchup. Freshmen Anna McGrath and Caroline Neal found the net for the first goals in their Gettysburg career.
Field hockey versus Misericordia
- For the second time in three games, Gettysburg (2-1) gets it done in two overtimes against Misericordia (0-2), 2-1. After a scoreless first half, Colleen Ragan knocked the first goal of the game within minutes into the third quarter. Misericordia responded quickly, and the game went scoreless until the second overtime, when Jillian Sommers won the game for the Bullets.
Saturday, Sept. 12
Men’s cross country at Dickinson Long-Short Invitational
- Gettysburg scores 27 points to finish second in the 4,000-meter race of the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational. Maddon McNicholas placed third for the Bullets, running a 12:19.3, which was a record by 20 seconds on the course.
Women’s cross country at Dickinson Long-Short Invitational
- The Bullets placed four runners in the top nine to beat Franklin & Marshall for first-place in the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational 4,000-meter race. Selah Decatur posted a time of 15:17.5 for fifth place.
Volleyball at Washington and Lee (W&L Invitational)
- The Bullets (5-2) were bested by Washington and Lee (4-1), 3-0 for the first half of Saturday’s slate at the Washington and Lee Invitational. Emma Bradshaw and Eliza Jauregui both had five kills in the match.
Field Hockey versus Juniata
- Gettysburg (3-1) dominates Juniata (4-1) at home, scoring seven goals to the Eagles’ zero. This offensive outburst was led by Syd Yaw and Cianna Miranda scoring two goals each and Elizabeth Terranova and Sloane Witkowski scoring one apiece.
Volleyball at Southern Virginia (W&L Invitational)
- Gettysburg (6-2) bounces back against Southern Virginia (1-3) in the second half of the Washington and Lee Invitational, winning 3-1. Clare Farell had 19 kills and Kaitlyn Hedrich had 26 assists.
Women’s soccer at Farmingdale State
- Farmingdale (2-1) scores a late goal in the 87th minute to beat Gettysburg (0-2-1) in Virginia Saturday.
Men’s soccer at Bridgewater
- The Bullets (3-1) and Bridgewater (3-1) went head-to-head on Saturday, eventually leaving Gettysburg on top after a goal in the 64th minute by Tyzo Diallo. Goalie Topher Kelley also left his mark with 7 saves on the day.
Football versus Washington and Lee
- The Bullets (1-1) came out strong in their home opener, leading the Generals (2-0) up until the fourth quarter, when Washington and Lee took the game with seconds remaining, 27-23. Quarterback Sean Clark had 249 passing yards, while RJ Weiss had 13 tackles.
Sunday, Sept. 13
Women’s golf at the Dickinson Fall Invitational
- Gettysburg places second with a team score of 342 at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, having a lineup of five players in their first collegiate round of golf. Makayla Stone placed sixth with a score of 81.
Men’s soccer at Eastern Mennonite
- Gettysburg (4-1) wins its fourth game in a row against Mennonite (0-5), 2-1. Liam Pitts and Sergio Neto both scored.
Women’s soccer at Roanoke
- The Bullets (1-2-1) earn their first win of the season against Roanoke (2-1-2) by a strike by Brooke Morrison in the 84th minute.
