Men’s soccer at York College
- 0-1 loss at York to open the season for the Bullets.
Men’s cross country at Franklin & Marshall College
- Third place of three teams; Maddon McNicholas crossed sixth place with a time of 10:19.8 in the two-mile race.
Women’s cross country at Franklin & Marshall College
- Third place of three teams; Selah Decatur placed third in her Gettysburg debut with a time of 12:13 on the two-mile course.
Women’s soccer vs. Lycoming College
- Postponed due to the weather.
Field hockey vs. Alvernia University
- 2-1 season-opener win against Alvernia on Shirk. Sabrina Post finds the net for the first goal, with Syd Yaw scoring the finalizer in overtime.
Sept. 2
Volleyball at Penn State Harrisburg
- A strong 3-1 set win over Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday night to open the season. Clare Farrell led with a career-high 19 kills and 10 digs for her second career double-double.
Sept. 3
Football at Juniata College
- Gettysburg’s first win under Coach Green; despite rain delays, the Bullets controlled the game with a 24-7 victory. Defense forced 3 turnovers, while Gettysburg’s Shane Donoghue, Daniel Bonato and Carson Shoffner scored a touchdown each.
Sept. 4
Volleyball vs. Marymount University (Battlefield Classic)
- Gettysburg won the “Battlefield Classic” with a 3-1 win against Marymount University. Clare Farrell led the team with 14 kills, while Erin Gonzalez chipped in six aces, seven kills and three blocks.
Men’s soccer at Mount St. Mary’s University (Turk Emekli Classic)
- Gettysburg got its first win of the “Turk Emekli Classic” versus Mt. St. Mary’s, 3-1. There were three different goal scorers: Gianluca LeBlanc, Dylan Capazario and Julius Rigo, with Michael Sack assisting two of them.
Women’s soccer vs. Misericordia University
- The Bullets opened their season against No. 20 Misericordia and ended the game with a 0-0 draw. Goalie Anna Kavountzis had 8 saves on the day.
Volleyball vs. The University of Olivet (Battlefield Classic)
- Game two of the Battlefield Classic was a dominant 3-0 win for Gettysburg against Olivet. Nala Shearer managed 16 digs while Erin Gonzalez had 11 kills.
Sept. 5
Volleyball vs. Buffalo State University (Battlefield Classic)
- Gettysburg starts day two strongly, sweeping Buffalo State 3-0. Halle Feth led with 18 assists.
Field hockey vs. York College
- The Bullets dropped one at home against York, 3-1. Sabrina Post got her second goal of the year.
Volleyball vs. Bridgewater (Battlefield Classic)
- Bridgewater overcomes Gettysburg 3-2 to hand the Bullets their first loss of the Battlefield Classic. Nala Shearer led with 36 digs. Clare Farrell was also named to the Battlefield Classic All-Tournament team after the final game.
Sept. 6
Men’s golf at Dickinson College (Fall Invitational)
- Day one.
Men’s soccer at John Carroll University
- Gettysburg adds another game to its win column with a 2-0 victory against John Carroll. James Blake and Serigo Neto both found the back of the net, scoring one goal each.
