On Wednesday, the Office of Student and Campus Life hosted the Fall Activities Fair on Stine Lake from 5 to 7 p.m. to encourage students to join the over 100 clubs and organizations on campus.
“The activities fair is an important part of student culture at Gettysburg since it not only provides opportunities for students to find their niches, but also to expose them to new people, ideas, cultures and hobbies,” said Chloe Migut ’29, who was tabling for the Class of 2029 Cabinet and the Student Senate Executive Board.

Many first-year students attended the event for the opportunity to get involved. Emily Sullivan ’30 noted, “It (the activities fair) was a great way to get connected with the school community and find places where we fit in and can be ourselves while making new friends and having new experiences.”
The activities fair is also intended to help students find organizations that align with their professional aspirations.
“The activities fair is a great way for the Pre-Vet Club to show new people on campus what opportunities we offer. It allows us to meet new people who are interested in veterinary medicine or animals in general,” explained Ryan Mandracchia ’29.
The event attracted several students who visited tables and signed up for clubs throughout the two-hour event. For many, the activities fair offered a chance to discover new interests, meet members of the Gettysburg community and find organizations with which they wished to involve themselves.
