Club Reports & Announcements
- Next Tuesday, Glat Basement 001: History Club Guest Speaker
- Newman Catholic Association will be tailgating at the football game this Saturday
- Relay for Life will also be at the tailgate from 11-1, free rally towels for fans,
selling shirts for the pinkout game: $15 to purchase the week before, $20 to
purchase the day of with student ID, and $25 to purchase the day of without ID.
Will be tabling every day 12-1 in CUB - Nepali Student Association raising money for flood relief in Nepal
- Åmnesty International meeting Wednesday the 9th at 5 pm in GLAT 001, to discuss events to fundraise for Nepal
- Alpha Tau Omega 9/11 Philanthropy event at Musselman Stadium from 7:15-9:15 PM to climb the 110 flights that first responders climbed on 9/11; will be selling T-shirtss for proceeds going to Answer the Call (raising money for families of 9/11 victims); urges all to come and support even if not climbing; 25th anniversary of 9/11; there will be a grilling event during the philanthropy; if you complete 110 flights, you get 20 percent off a T-shirt.

- West building beneath outside stairs; there is dripping turning into algae slime
- Lack of BMC email communication; what the role of a Senate rep is for BMC; wants clearer communication on the role of a Senate Representative
Budget Requests
- American Cancer Society at Gettysburg College
- Requesting $6,350
- BMC recommended full amount
- Relay for Life with American Cancer Society; goal is to raise as much money as possible through events. This year’s budget request is for their annual events such as Shave A Thon, Pink Out Tailgate, and includes Anchor Events that bring the whole campus together. In the last 3 years, they’ve raised $48,000 for the American Cancer Society and currently have 53 active members, explaining the budget increase due to member growth.

- Outside of pickup team and official women’s volleyball team
- Men’s team goal is to join an association in PA and give people an opportunity to have competitions and give men who want to play volleyball the opportunity.
- $ 2,000 requested for the following: $1000 for league membership dues, $150 for
equipment, $600 for registration fees, and $250 in transportation fees - BMC suggested $1,375 due to lack of funding rules for gas travel (can’t fund gas for private vehicles), average cost of league membership multiplied by number of players as of now, 100 per tournament on average, fully funded rec for new balls
