By Sarah Daniels, News Editor

On Friday, April 10, the Political Science Department, Pi Sigma Alpha, the Eisenhower Institute (EI) and Running Start are hosting a Civic Leadership Training in CUB 260 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. After the workshop, a reception will follow from 4:00 –  5:00 pm.

The event features “hands-on training designed to help you build confidence, sharpen your voice, and step into leadership. ” The workshop is nonpartisan and is expected to help students learn how to run for office and increase engagement in local politics.

It is facilitated by Susannah Wellford, the CEO of Running Start. Additionally, there will be a focus on community leadership and student government, with members of local government expected to be in attendance. The workshop, especially with the reception, serves as a learning and networking opportunity.

Pre-registration is required and can be done through this link
