By Sarah Daniels, News Editor

The Garthwait Leadership Center (GLC) will host its annual Leadership Showcase from April 13–15, a multi-day event highlighting student leadership, collaboration and community impact.

Organized by the GLC in partnership with campus offices including the Eisenhower Institute, Office of Student Activities & Greek Life, Center for Career Engagement, Residential Education, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, International Student Services, Office of Multicultural Engagement and the Center for Global Education, the Leadership Showcase provides an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to reflect on and celebrate leadership development across campus and beyond.

The event underscores the College’s commitment to leadership for public purpose and meaningful community engagement.

The Showcase will begin with a kickoff event on April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stine Lake, featuring live music and interactive programming designed to engage the community in the celebration. The event will also highlight partnerships with local organizations, reinforcing the importance of supporting and uplifting the Gettysburg community.

Throughout the week, a series of panel discussions will explore leadership across a range of contexts. All panels will take place in the College Union Building (CUB) Junction:

  • Gettysburg Goes Global Panel – April 13, 4:00 p.m.
  • Athletes & Coaches Panel – April 14, 12:00 p.m.
  • Anchors in the Community Panel – April 14, 4:00 p.m.
  • Gettysburg Greeks Panel – April 15, 12:00 p.m.
  • Faculty: Leadership for Public Purpose Panel – April 15, 4:00 p.m.

These conversations highlight diverse perspectives and demonstrate how leadership is practiced both on campus and beyond.

The Showcase will conclude on April 15 with the Leadership Showcase Gala at 6:00 p.m. in the College’s ballroom, an evening dedicated to recognizing outstanding leadership and celebrating the achievements of members of the Gettysburg community. The gala will feature keynote remarks from Jamie Fleet ’02, senior advisor to U.S. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. His remarks will focus on leadership, public service, and the impact of civic engagement beyond campus.
