On Wednesday, November 19, the Musselman Library hosted its semesterly “Long Night Against Procrastination” (LNAP) event to help students catch up on academic work before Thanksgiving break. The event featured peer-led assistance across a variety of subjects. The event was held across rooms L014 and L018, with one for collaborative work and the other as a silent
study space.
Phillip ’26, a tutor for calculus and computer science assignments. He expressed how he enjoys helping other students gain a clear understanding of difficult concepts, which encouraged him to participate in the event again this semester.
“It’s a great way to support students while also engaging with the community,” he said.
The event brought together Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) from multiple departments, offering guidance on coursework and research projects in addition to Peer Research Mentors (PRMs) from the Musselman Library to help with research questions.
The event also offered snacks, fidget toys and study break crafts for students in attendance. Those who completed the survey were entered in a raffle to win a tote bag of library merchandise.
The Long Night Against Procrastination is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide academic support and foster community engagement among students.
