The Bullets entered the contest having won the past seven meetings between the two schools. The game started fairly even, tied up at six at the conclusion of the first quarter. Ivan Foreman gave the Eagles the lead early in the second quarter with a rushing touchdown for 5 yards before the Bullets countered with a touchdown off a 30-yard throw from Rocco Abdinoor ’26 to Nick Wonsala’27.
The Eagles would take the 19-13 lead going into halftime after Jordan Horm received a 4-yard pass from Juniata quarterback Isaiah Randall.
Gettysburg came out strong to start the second half, on both sides of the ball, with a huge defensive interception by Tyler Wells ’26 to start the third quarter. The Bullets were then able to capitalize with a 24-yard touchdown pass coming from Abdinoor to Jason Roskam ’26, putting them up 20-19. Abdinoor added to the Bullets’ lead with a 20-yard rushing touchdown late in the third.
Juniata wasted no time in the fourth quarter before Isaiah Randall found Makih Hunt at the back of the endzone. Isaiah Parks Gill would make a 41-yard field goal for the Bullets to extend their lead before the Eagles ultimately scored one final touchdown, making it 31-30.
The game would end in that score after the Bullets made one final push with less than 10 seconds on the clock. Abdinoor would throw a ball deep to Luke Denison ’26 at the six-yard line before Juniata tackled him at the one-yard line as time expired on the clock.
Gettysburg Football is back in action on Saturday, Sept.13th at 1:00 PM at home as they look for their first win of the season while they take on Christopher Newport.
