Bullets Basketball Dominate Dickinson Red Devils

On Jan. 22, the men’s and women’s Gettysburg basketball teams defeated their rivals at Dickinson College. The Bullets dominated the scoreboard and showed their ability to gain points when it mattered.

The men’s game ended with a score of 70-58, with three standout scorers from the Bullets. Carl Schaller ’25 and Jordan Stafford ’25 racked up 19 points each. Nate Williams ’26 followed with 18 points. These three men helped the Bullets achieve 18 points in the paint and 10 points off turnovers. The team also totaled 35 rebounds, with a near-even distribution among the players.

The women’s game ended with a score of 60-41. The most points by the Bullets were scored by Alayna Arnolie ’26 and Shinya Lee ’25. They totaled 17 and 16 points respectively. Gettysburg racked up 24 points in the paint and 19 points off turnovers. They made 30.8% of their 3-PT and half of their free throw attempts. The Bullets also gained 41 rebounds.

Both the men’s and women’s games were a result of group efforts from their players, which allowed the Bullets to achieve a victory against their rivals, the Dickinson Red Devils. Both teams will play Swarthmore College on Jan. 25 at home in Bream Gym.
