The Princeton Review released the newest rankings for colleges across America as part of The Best 390 Colleges: 2025 Edition. This book covers 50 ranking lists of the top 25 colleges in categories ranging from Great Financial Aid to Lots of Hard Liquor. Gettysburg College has been on several of these lists for several years.
Based on answers to student surveys on “how they rate their professors, their classroom and lab facilities, the amount of in-class time devoted to discussion and the percent of classes they attend,” the College ranks No. 10 for Best Classroom Experience, coming up from No. 15. The College has also increased from No. 10 to No. 2 in Great Financial Aid, based on student ratings of satisfaction with financial aid packages.
Gettysburg stayed the same at the ranking of Students who Study the Most at No. 7, which is based on “student ratings of how many hours they spend studying outside of class each day.”
Students also rated that the College is No. 6 for Lots of Beer, up from last year’s rating of No. 8 for how widely beer is consumed. The College also kept the same ranking for Lots of Hard Liquor at No. 16, which is based on students’ answers to the question, “How widely is hard liquor used at your school?”
Students rated that Greek Life is not as popular at Gettysburg according to the Princeton Review as the previous year, bringing a No. 4 ranking down to No. 17. Similarly, students also rated that intramural sports are not as popular, bringing a No. 1 ranking down to No. 3.
Best Campus Food and Best Athletic Facilities have also dropped in the ratings, from No. 12 to No. 17 and from No. 10 to No. 14, respectively, based on student rankings.
