On Saturday, the Bullets football team faced off against the College of New Jersey Lions at home. Despite a strong effort, the Bullets fell to the Lions 41-31.

The Bullets dominated in the first quarter. Walle Harwigsson Lundblad ’26 caught a three-yard touchdown pass from Rocco Abdinoor ’26. A successful PAT by Isaac Parks-Gill ’28 to put the Bullets up 7-0.

An eight-yard touchdown run by Matt O’Connor ’26 put the Bullets up 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.

TCNJ responded with a five-yard run and successful PAT to make the score 13-7. The Bullets responded, however, and O’Connor rushed for a touchdown again, this time on a long 10-play drive to keep the Bullets up 19-7.

Things began to fall apart for the Bullets as the Lions scored 27 unanswered points. They bounced back at the end of the third quarter with an impressive 43-yard catch-and-run touchdown by Jason Roskam ’26 to keep the Bullets in the game 34-25.

The Lions drove down the field and scored a touchdown on a 93-yard drive to increase their lead to 41-25.

The Bullets were not out of it yet, though. Abdinoor hit a 20-yard touchdown run to cut the Lion’s lead to 41-31. Unfortunately, the Lions made a crucial fourth-down conversion to keep possession and run the clock for a victory.

Despite the loss, there are reasons for optimism for the Bullets. Roskam led the Bullets in with 96 receiving yards. The Bullets also had fewer turnovers and more time of possession than the Lions. On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Bullets travel to face off against the Dickinson Red Devils.
