The Bullets women’s golf placed in 6th at the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational last weekend, with several players putting up solid scores. Ava Nicole Markunas ’26 placed eleventh overall through her consistency, shooting a 79 both days. Nine teams competed in the tournament, with Gettysburg narrowly missing out on the top five by three shots. Out of the nearly 50 players in the tournament, three Bullets placed within the top 15.

Joining Nicole Markunas at the top for Gettysburg were sisters Chloe and Lucy Barton ’26. Both of the Newton, New Jersey natives shot a 164 to finish tied for fifteenth place. Natalie Boyd ’26 and Monica Solis ’25 rounded out the Bullets finish, placing 27th and 36th respectively. Carnegie Mellon was at the top of the leaderboard, with Mount St. Joseph as runners-up. Gettysburg had a solid start to the season, following a second place finish at the Centennial Conference championships in May.

Nicole Markunas was able to start her season strong, coming off a sophomore year where she was named All-Centennial Conference first team.  She placed fourth at the individual conference championships, and looks to lead a Bullets squad in their conference title defense. Gettysburg will continue their season with them hosting the Fall Invitational at Hanover Country Club on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
