Curriculum Changes
Provost Chris Zappe reminded the faculty that this year they will be determining what changes will be made to the Gettysburg Curriculum.
He also noted that they will be completing the Middle States re-accreditation.
Student Mental Health
Vice President for College Life and Dean of Students Anne Ehrlich, Dean of Student Success Kiera Kant, and Director of Counseling and Wellness Services Krista Dhruv spoke about mental health.
All attendees were given a packet from the Center for Student Success that differentiated level one concerns, level two concerns, and level three concerns for when students present concerning behaviors that can help faculty determine the proper response.
Dhruv emphasized that Counseling and Wellness Services has expanded to have crisis walk-in hours, has longer hours on weekdays now, and has entered a partnership with UWill to make counseling more accessible to students.
Faculty Recognition
Zappe recognized faculty with over 25 years of service: English professor Chris Fee, English professor Fred Leebron, Chair of the English department Kathryn Rhett, and Chief of Staff and Strategic Advisor to the President Kristin Stuempfle.
The Distinguished Teaching Award was presented to psychology professor Kathy Cain.
