Today, Provost Christopher Zappe announced his return to the classroom as a faculty member in a campus-wide email. President Bob Iuliano will soon announce a national search for Zappe’s successor.

“I look forward to soon engaging with our students each day in the classroom and partnering with all of you in new ways to advance the mission of this great College,” said Zappe.

After twelve years of administrative work at Gettysburg College, Zappe will take some sabbatical leave and return as a professor for the Management Department. He previously served as the dean of arts and sciences at Bucknell University where he also taught management courses.

Zappe will continue in his position as Provost until the national search’s conclusion.

“It has been an honor to engage with so many Gettysburgians throughout my tenure as Provost on this campus,” said Zappe, “I look forward to partnering with you all in the years ahead to help realize Gettysburg College’s brightest future.”
