By Alli Dayton, News Editor

On Monday, September 6th, Provost Christopher Zappe wrote an email to the campus community informing them of the departure of Dean of Academic Advising and Student Support Services Charmaine T. Cruise.

Cruise began her employment at Gettysburg College in July 2020. During her time at Gettysburg, Cruise helped students to navigate the challenges of online learning and academic honesty during the pandemic.

Zappe said, “Charmaine led the Office of Academic Advising and Student Support Services through the pandemic when student guidance, such as academic advising, was in very high demand.”

While no further information was provided about Cruise’s resignation, Zappe said, “I will provide additional information regarding the transition in the coming days.”
