Great Work from Home: Day 29

Welcome to the twenty-ninth edition of our “Great Work from Home” daily bulletin, an initiative of The Gettysburgian during this season of social distancing. Each morning, we will present a curated playlist, a favorite Gettysburg campus photo, and hometown spotlight, each submitted by a different Gettysburgian.

This is a way to start our days together. We’ll present these features on Instagram, on our website, and, if you like, via email (see sign-up below). We’ll be reaching out to students, faculty members, and employees and asking them to share, and we invite you to do so too; find links to Google Forms for each of these recurring features at the bottom of the page.

This week, as you take to your trails and to your streets, we are running one last challenge: Let’s Take a Walk. The task is simple: take a walk, take a picture, and share it with us here.

As always, the most important part of this initiative is you. So tell us, what do you like? What don’t you like? What else would you like to see? Get in touch with the #GWFH team: editors@gettysburgian.com.

For now, we hope you enjoy today’s playlist, curated by Joy Zanghi ’21, today’s campus photo, courtesy of Julia Sharapi ’22, and today’s hometown profile by Colleen DiLello ’22, who comes from Point Lookout, NY.

Remember, you can take us out of Gettysburg, but you can’t take Gettysburg out of us!

“This photo was taken this past winter, before the transition to online learning. It represents what I miss most about campus: being surrounded by friends, beautiful weather, and wonderful sense of belonging.”

“My favorite places at home are also the same places my dog, Leo, loves to go. Point Lookout has some of the nicest sunsets (aside from the ones at Gettysburg) and I try to catch as many as I can on camera!”
