Welcome to the twenty-eighth edition of our “Great Work from Home” daily bulletin, an initiative of The Gettysburgian during this season of social distancing. Each morning, we will present a curated playlist, a favorite Gettysburg campus photo, and hometown spotlight, each submitted by a different Gettysburgian.
This is a way to start our days together. We’ll present these features on Instagram, on our website, and, if you like, via email (see sign-up below). We’ll be reaching out to students, faculty members, and employees and asking them to share, and we invite you to do so too; find links to Google Forms for each of these recurring features at the bottom of the page.
This week, as you take to your trails and to your streets, we are running one last challenge: Let’s Take a Walk. The task is simple: take a walk, take a picture, and share it with us here.
As always, the most important part of this initiative is you. So tell us, what do you like? What don’t you like? What else would you like to see? Get in touch with the #GWFH team: editors@gettysburgian.com.
For now, we hope you enjoy today’s playlist, curated by Katie Oglesby ’23, today’s campus photo, courtesy of Lillian Shea ’21, and today’s hometown profile by Allyson Frantz ’23, who comes from Mechanicsburg, PA.
Remember, you can take us out of Gettysburg, but you can’t take Gettysburg out of us!

Today’s Hometown Profile (#GWFHhometowns)
“This picture was taken last summer at a park near my house. It is one of my favorite spots to walk around with my camera on a beautiful summer evening and take photos of my friends or of the scenery. It is definitely the best place to sit and watch the sunset too!”
-Allyson Frantz ’23
