Senior Christian Deschapelles hopes to make his final season here at Gettysburg a memorable one.

Over the course of his career, Deschapelles has had his ups and downs, but he has found a great deal of success during his time at Gettysburg.

In high school, he was the captain of his tennis team, while also playing soccer during that time. During his first year, he led the Bullets tennis team with a record of 8-6 in singles, all while winning a team-high three matches against conference opponents. He also earned a record of 2-11 in doubles.

He won his collegiate debut in straight-sets against Messiah College, while also earning big victories against Washington College and Ursinus College in only three sets both times.

In his sophomore season, he earned a record of 8-8 in singles, including 6-1 at No. 3, tying for first on the team for most singles wins. He also won ten matches in doubles, which was enough to lead the team. He went 9-6 in second doubles and 1-1 in first doubles.

Last season, he went 3-8 in No. 1 doubles and finished the season at 5-9 in No. 1 and 2 doubles. He was able to win in straight sets to lead Gettysburg to a victory over York College 6-3.

Deschapelles will look to finish out his career on a high note, facing off against Washington College this Saturday at 1 p.m.
