Guide to Gettysburg: Thee Barber Room
By Brody Tennant, Staff Writer
If you are like me, you understand that a fresh and high-quality haircut is very important. It helps to maintain a high level of professionalism and ensures that you are better looking than all of your friends. During the summer before I came to Gettysburg College, I searched for a barber shop that suited me and my haircut needs. I happened to stumble across a place called Thee Barber Room, and I must say that I lucked out big time. The shop is located at 3045 York Road, which is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Gettysburg.
Thee Barber Room is by far the best barber I have ever seen or have ever visited. Their new location, which was officially opened back in March of 2017, is very classy and accommodating to their clients. They have a nice seating area with leather couches and a projection screen to pass the time if you arrive early and games to play such as pool, darts, foosball and arcade games.
When it comes to your appointment, the staff is very punctual. If your appointment is at 4:00 p.m. for example, your haircut will start no later than 4:00 p.m., and on many occasions they can start early or even bump your appointment up. Now let’s get down to the main idea: the haircuts. Every barber there has multiple years of experience and professional training, so no matter what haircut you desire they can handle it. They also offer a wide variety of services besides haircuts, such as beard trimming, facemasks, eyebrows, braids and many more.
