Stress Relief and Finals Study Break at Musselman Library
It’s just about that time of year again—final exams are looming on the horizon! Cue the late-night studying, the long term papers, and…the stress. Musselman Library knows that this is a pressure-filled time for students, so at the end of every semester the library hosts a Finals Study Break. At the study break, students will be able to enjoy some crafting, coloring and games as well as some tasty ice cream treats! Managing stress well is a key component to healthy living, so the library believes it is important to offer students a mental break during this busy time. This year, the Finals Study Break will be held Monday, May 8 from 8-10 p.m. on the back library patio (rain location is room 18 on the Ground Floor).
Can’t make it to Finals Study Break? Fear not! The library offers other opportunities to help relieve stress. Starting on May 1, there will be a Stress Relief Table on the Ground Floor of the library all through finals week. Students can take a break to complete a word search or color a picture to display on our Gallery Wall! Good luck with your finals!
Summer Reading Recommendations and Cake!
With summer right around the corner, Musselman Library is hosting its fourth annual You’ve Gotta Read This: Lunchtime Launch. This launch party is in celebration of the annual publication: You’ve Gotta Read This! Summer Reading @ Musselman Library, in which you will find recommendations for summer reading and viewing from Gettysburg College faculty, staff, and administrators. With over 200 book and film reviews, there is sure to be something for everyone!
Swing by Musselman Library’s front patio Thursday, May 4 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to pick up your copy of the summer reading booklet and enjoy some festive treats. Library staff will be on hand to show you how to access the summer reading titles from Overdrive on your reading devices, so B.Y.O.D. (bring your own device). Hope to see you there!

Musselman Library: Finals Week News
Extended Library Hours.
Starting Friday, you can stay in the library even longer than usual. Friday, May 5 the library will remain open until 11:00 p.m. After opening early on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m., the Library will not close again until the following Saturday (May 13) at 5:00 p.m. Enjoy full 24/7 library access while finishing up your final projects and preparing for your exams.
Return Library Materials.
Please remember to return all borrowed library materials, including Interlibrary Loan materials, before leaving campus for the summer. If you have a locker in the library, please double-check to make sure it is cleared of its contents as well.
