The following incidents were reported by the Gettysburg College Department of Public Safety (DPS):

April 19

  • An incident of larceny (theft of student artwork) occurred at the West Building; the case was closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.
  • An incident of fraud involving an email scam that asked for funds was reported at Apple Hall; the case was referred to Gettysburg Borough Police (GPD).

April 21

  • An incident of larceny (street sign & disorderly conduct) was reported in the 400 Block of Carlisle Street; the case was closed due to lack of an identifiable suspect.
  • A violation of the liquor laws occurred in the 200 Block of N. Washington Street; the case was referred to GPD pending citation/arrest.

April 22

  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Phi Gamma Delta; GPD cited Ariana Castro ’20.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Glatfelter Hall; the case was referred to the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (SRR).
  • An incident of vandalism to a bicycle occurred outside of Patrick Hall; the case was referred to SRR.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Huber Hall; the case was referred to SRR.
  • An aggravated assault involving injuries from a sustained push/shove occurred at Alpha Tau Omega; the case remains under investigation by DPS.

April 23

  • An incident of larceny (theft of a bicycle) occurred at Hazlett Hall; the case was closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.
  • A drug abuse violation (possession of marijuana & paraphernalia) occurred at Lamp Post; the case was referred to SRR.

April 24

  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption & public drunkenness) occurred in the 200 Block of Carlisle Street; the case was referred to SRR, and citations are pending from the Pennsylvania State Police.
  • A drug abuse violation (possession of marijuana & paraphernalia) occurred at the Tennis Courts; the case was referred to SRR.

April 25

  • A violation of the liquor laws (false identification card) occurred at Sigma Chi; the case was referred to SRR.

April 26

  • An incident of vandalism (spray paint graffiti) occurred in the 200 Block of N. Washington Street; the case was closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.
  • A rape occurred at Hanson Hall; the case was referred to the Title IX officer.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption & possession) occurred at Patrick Hall; the case was referred to SRR.

April 27

  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred in the 500 Block of Carlisle Street; GPD cited Jacqueline Russell ’20 for underage consumption.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (open container, underage possession, underage consumption, and furnishing to a minor) occurred at 339 Carlisle Street; the case was referred to SRR.

April 28

  • A drug abuse violation involving possession of marijuana and paraphernalia occurred at 215 N. Washington Street; the case was referred to SRR.
  • A drug abuse violation involving use of marijuana stemming from an incident in January was reported by a campus security authority.
  • An incident of fondling occurred at Sigma Chi; the case was referred to the Title IX Officer.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Patrick Hall; the case was referred to SRR.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Musselman Hall; the case was referred to SRR and is pending a GPD citation.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at the Tennis Courts; the case was referred to SRR.

April 29

  • An incident of public drunkenness occurred in the 300 Block of N. Washington Street; Philip Vecchiolli of West Chester, PA was arrested by GPD and referred to SRR.
  • A DUI occurred in the 300 Block of Carlisle Street; Charles Starcher of Sulther, LA was arrested by GPD.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) and DUI occurred in the Constitution Lot; the case was referred to SRR and is pending citation by GPD.
  • An incident of larceny (theft of room key) occurred at Stine Hall; the case is closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.
  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred outside Christ Chapel; the case was referred to SRR.

April 30

  • A violation of the liquor laws (underage consumption) occurred at Musselman Hall; Conor Gaffney of Mount Laurel, NJ was cited by GPD for disorderly conduct.
