Apple is gearing up for its release of the iPhone 7/7 Plus. The new phone is reported by AppleInsider to have a range of stylish and useful new features including an enhanced camera along with longer power and battery life. Reported to be missing? The standard headphone jack. Instead, users will listen to music via Bluetooth or the Lightning port.
Physically, it will most likely resemble the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. However, there will be a storage upgrade from 16GB, 64GB and 128GB to 32GB, 128GB and 256GB, which will allow a little extra room for music fans and photo lovers to store an extra playlist or pictures from their latest vacation. The combination of the improved dual rear camera, better ambient light sensors, camera flash LEDs and the increased storage will likely be well-received by iPhone lovers and might even be enough to convince long time Android users to switch over.
AppleInsider has reported that the phone will feature a second external speaker with an amplifier so you can hear your music easily from across the room.
Anyone who has ever lost an iPhone to water damage can breathe a sigh of relief: the iPhone 7 will feature basic IPX7 water resistance, meaning the phone can tolerate splashes and submersion into water for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Faster CPUs due to an A10 chipset will lead to a 25 percent increase in performance, perfect for emailing on the go or streaming music at better speeds.
Hopefully these upgrades will tide Apple fans over until the 2017 major iPhone overhaul, which will reportedly transform the iPhone’s design.
