Last week’s Campus Activities Board events were the Mockingjay premiere, for which CAB provided transport and arranged for discounted tickets and a Midnight Madness, which featured everyone’s favorite: mozzarella sticks, and GECO doing an excellent job encouraging recycling and donating the leftover food from the evening to be fed to pigs.
This week, CAB is hosting two major events: Wingo and Bubble Soccer.
For first-year students or those who have never attended, Wingo (a combination of the words “wings” and “Bingo”) is a cannot-miss event!
This year, Wingo will occur from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Ballroom on Friday night, Dec. 4. The featured wings are honey barbeque, medium, and garlic parmesan, but it is not just the wings that will draw crowds! The prizes are also truly exciting. With big-ticket items like a Smart TV, a Fit Bit, a Go Pro, a record player, speakers, and so much more, one would imagine it will be a competitive, delicious, and fun night!
Bubble Soccer will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Fieldhouse. The Fieldhouse, in case some have never been, is the entrance closest to the College Union Building in the same building that houses the Jaegar Center.
The fun aspect of bubble soccer is that it requires little-to-no ability to actually play soccer! Each player is placed in an inflatable ball, a soccer ball is provided, and the fun begins. Even those who do not want to play can have fun simply watching people ricochet off of each other and bounce on the floor.
This week’s CAB events are sure to be fun-filled and great stress relievers before finals!
