Original. Imaginative. Amazing are just a few words  to describe VoicePlay who  will appear at the Majestic  Theater, Gettysburg, PA  on Saturday Oct. 26 at  8:00 p.m. without a backup  band, VoicePlay is not your  typical a cappella show with  songs for all ages ranging  from Nat King Cole to  One Direction infused with  great music and comedic  fun for the entire family!

“I saw VoicePlay perform last January in New York City at a showcase at the national convention of The Association of Performing Arts Presenters. It was a  tough crowd because everyone was a highly opinionated and discerning (smile)  theater executive like me  and VoicePlay brought the  house down with their phenomenal music-making”,  exclaims Jeffrey Gabel,  Founding Executive Director of the Majestic Theater.

Though the name has changed, the sound remains ever as magical. Based in Orlando, FL, VoicePlay (formerly 42Five) performs their own incredible brand of entertainment across the country and around the world.  What began quite literally as a street corner barbershop act has now evolved into an internationally acclaimed touring sensation.

The cast of VoicePlay has taken the timeless sound of vocal music and turned it completely on its head.  Re-imagined as a full stage show, amazing, humorous, and vertigo-inducing harmonies pepper Voice Play’s music-without-music sound as it ping-pongs between eras and styles, channeling the breadth of the musical landscape and lacing it with inventive and often hilarious on-stage theatrics.

Opening for VoicePlay will be Gettysburg College’s premiere student a Capella group, “The Four Scores” a student-run and student-led group. Since its formation, the group comprised of 16 members has provided the campus with musical entertainment and developed a very loyal fan base.

Tickets are priced at $32, $29, $25. To purchase tickets, call 717-337-8200, or stop by the Box Office, 25 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. The Box Office is open Monday through Saturday from Noon until 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Pre-show Dinners are available by calling 717-259-9535.
