Remarkable works by Gettysburg College’s faculty in the Department of Art and Art History will be exhibited in Schmucker Art Gallery from Nov. 9 through Dec. 8, 2012.  This exhibition features recent paintings, sculpture, photographs and prints by the studio art professors in addition to various works from throughout  their careers.   The exhibition allows the opportunity for Gettysburg College students, faculty, staff and the larger community to appreciate their talents and see the intersections between their creative work and teaching.

The works of Mark Warwick (sculpture), Brent Blair (photography), Amer Kobasijla (painting), Bob Patierno (printmaking), Tina Gebhart (ceramics), John Kovaleski (drawing) will be represented in this exhibition.  The artists’ methods, media and subject matter are diverse and reflect their varied backgrounds, research interests and approaches to their respective fields.

On Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at noon, visitors to the Schmucker Art Gallery will have the opportunity to hear the artists discuss their works and answer questions from the audience.  An opening reception will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
