Campus Safety Alerts College Community of Office Burglaries

By Katie Oglesby, Editor-in-Chief

On Friday, the Associate Director of Campus Safety Matthew Rose sent out a campus-wide email alerting the community that offices in the Bream Wright Hauser complex were burglarized over a period of four months. They said no force was used when cash was stolen from the desks.

Campus Safety is investigating the incidents.

Rose declined to comment on when exactly the incidents occurred or whether they were reported immediately when they happened.

They have not identified any suspects yet, Rose said. Campus Safety asks that anyone with any relevant information contact them.

Rose reminded the campus community to lock offices and residences when unoccupied, contact Campus Safety if there is suspicious activity, keep valuables hidden, and report issues with locks on doors and windows to Campus Safety or Facilities as soon as possible.
