The Gettysburg College Men’s Lacrosse team has had a successful season this year, finishing 13-3 and coming off a six-game winning streak to end the regular season. Their 81.2% winning percentage is coupled with the team’s 7-1 record in Centennial Conference play.

A large part of this success has been due to junior attack man Brian Kolen. Over the season, Kolen has led the team with 55 goals, fourth in the Centennial Conference. Kolen has also recorded 18 assists and 73 points this season, with a shots-on-goal percentage of 66.4.

Kolen’s contributions to the team have earned him his second Centennial Conference Player of the Week award for this week based on his performances against McDaniel and Washington College. During the game against McDaniel, Kolen scored five goals and notched four assists for a total of nine points. Kolen’s performance played an important role in the team’s 17-5 victory. In the game against Washington College, Kolen’s offensive might continued as he scored four goals. Kolen’s performance helped the Bullets beat Washington 12-8.

Kolen and the Men’s Lacrosse team will hope to continue their success in their playoff matchup against Dickinson College for a chance to play in the Centennial Conference Championship. The matchup will take place on Wednesday 4PM at Musselman Stadium.
