The Monday, April 1 meeting of Student Senate saw a short agenda. The governing body saw the reintroduction of the constitutional amendment regarding the grounds for impeachment proceedings. The amendment was reintroduced to include the phrase “the values of Gettysburg College” as introduced by Senator Jackie Crowley ’20 but did not add back the redacted statement that expands on the values of the college that had been previously debated about. The amendment has been tabled for next meeting.

An academic/social justice club called The Hall That has Never Been Told received recognition. The club aims to raise money to support causes like bringing clean water to South Sudan and aiding in the food crisis in Yemen.

The Gettysburgian will be moderating the Presidential and Vice Presidential forums during next week’s Senate meeting in Mara Auditorium on Monday, April 8.
