The Gettysburg College women’s basketball team has posted a dominant 17-3 record over the course of their first twenty games, highlighted by an undefeated (8-0) record on the road. The team’s 14-1 record in Centennial Conference play indicates that the team is poised to accomplish much this year. A stand out performer among this group has been senior guard Emma Dorshimer.

Throughout the course of the season Dorshimer has been named Centennial Conference player of the week four times. This season, Dorshimer has averaged 17.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. In addition, Dorshimer has posted career highs in field goal percentage, rebounds per game, and assists per game.

Dorshimer also leads the Centennial Conference in three-point percentage (45.3 percent), and second in points-per-game and free throw percentage at 17.7 and 83.7% respectively. In addition, Dorshimer is ranked fifth in the CC for field goal percentage with 46.2 percent. This week, Dorshimer was awarded her fourth player of the week honor of the season, her seventh overall in her career.
