DPS Crime Log: April 5-11, 2017

The Gettysburg College Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported the following incidents:

April 5:

  • An incident of burglary involving the theft of toiletries from the basement of the Gettysburg Hotel was reported; the incident occurred in May 2016, and it was reported by a campus security authority (CSA).
  • An assault involving a student punching another student occurred at 25 S. Washington Street; the incident was referred to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (SRR).
  • A bicycle was stolen on the East Exterior Bike Rack of Glatfelter Hall; the case is closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.

April 6:

  • An incident of underage consumption of alcohol in violation of liquor laws was reported at 102 W. Water Street; the incident was referred to SRR.

April 7:

  • An incident involving the possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in January was reported; the incident occurred in the 500 block of Biglerville Road, and it was reported by a CSA.
  • An incident involving the presentation of a false identification card in violation of liquor laws occurred near Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium; the incident was referred to SRR.
  • The theft of gaming equipment was reported in Rice Hall; the case is closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.

April 8:

  • An incident of underage consumption of alcohol in violation of liquor laws was reported on the Health Center Drive near the Dining Center; the incident was referred to SRR.

April 9:

  • The vandalism and damage of a vehicle was reported in the Constitution Lot; the case is closed because there were no suspects or witnesses.
  • A domestic disturbance involving harassment was reported at 209 N. Washington Street; the incident was referred to SRR.
