There was one lone Bullet named to the All-Centennial Conference indoor track & field team. This Bullet was junior Sarah Congdon who claimed bronze in the 400-meter dash at the Centennial Conference Championships. The 1:00.83 time was a personal best.

She was also a part of the distance medley relay, which beat their own school record by over five seconds this past weekend at the Ursinus Final Qualifying Meet. Congdon led the relay in the 400-meter dash, and the squad broke into the nation’s top 40 best for all of Division III.

Congdon also contributed her time in the hurdles where she placed eighth in the 60 meter hurdles at the Centennial Conference Championships and contributed yet another 400-meter dash in the 4×400 meter squad, which placed them third all-time.

Congdon worked hard during the championships as she also ran for Gettysburg’s 4 x200 relay. This rounded out her meet at five total events, including the preliminary and final round of hurdles. She ran her first 400-meter dash of the season back in December with a time of 1:03.12 at Franklin & Marshall, demonstrating the leaps of improvement for Congdon as her best was a full three seconds faster.

Congdon was a first-time medal winner and an improved 400-meter runner, so this is why she is the Bullet of the Week.
