All you need to know about campus food

Did you know that Retail Operations employs 18 full time staff and almost 130 students? Retail Operations includes the Bullet Hole, Commons Café, Ike’s Sushi and Salad and The Dive. We serve an average of 3000 customers between all 4 locations each day. We strive for great customer service at each location and want to meet the needs of our customers each time you walk through our doors. In addition, we also serve The LIU students during the semester three days a week, help coordinate the Servo Thanksgiving Pre Dinner Event, serve patio picnics and in the last 2 years have prepared and served the 4th of July Dinner on the Bullet Hole Patio.
The Bullet Hole, located on the ground floor of the College Union Building, serves made to order sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and veggie burgers off the grill, delivers a hot special on the hot side, which is made in house and you can get made to order 8 inch pizzas 7 days a week. We make our own Hamburgers and Veggie Burgers, so they are not a frozen product! We also make our Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Corn Bean Salsa, and many of the sauces we serve. Don’t forget about Chicken Finger Friday, which is our highest selling special! Be on the lookout for the new Chicken Finger Friday t-shirts!
The Commons Café, located on the second floor of the College Union building across the hall from the Bookstore, is a “We Proudly Brew of Starbucks drinks” establishment. Don’t forget about trying the Hot Apple Cider or Pumpkin Spice Latte while they have it! They also have pastries, Servo cookies, special desserts and packaged sandwiches and salads, along with sushi.
Ike’s Sushi and Salad, located in the College Union Building above the Bullet Hole allows you to walk in and one of our staff will make a salad for you as you pick out the toppings. They also serve Hale and Hearty Soup, a soup company out of New York City and it is delicious! The Dive, located in the Athletic Center serves sandwiches, wraps and salads on a daily basis. The student’s favorite is the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup combo. The Dive also serves the Hale and Hearty soup and if you haven’t tried the Tomato Bisque or the Tomato Cheddar yet, you are missing out! It is so worth the walk just to try our soup! The Dive also serves Smoothies 6 days a week (closed on Sundays) that are made with all natural products including protein. There are 31 to try out, so you must stop by and try one! The Student’s favorites are the Peanut Butter Cup, Strawberry Slam and The Organic Cookie Crunch! Another great thing the Dive started last year was the Sports Sandwich Specials! Each sports team was given the opportunity to create a recipe and the Dive featured it as a weekly special. This was such a hit, that we brought back the most popular sandwiches to feature as specials this semester. The Garthwait Leadership Center and the Cheerleaders also joined in on the fun this semester.
Besides being open 7 days a week, the Bullet Hole is operating the Epickups program, our very own catering department. This site is online and is easy to use. Need food for your meeting or a party? Call on us! Need pizzas for your classroom or catered items for breakfast, lunch or dinner, we have everything from Coffee and bagel setups to Baked Ziti, Pizza, Wings, Chicken Fingers, Salads, Wrap Trays, Burrito Bowl and Tailgate packages and more. If you don’t see a package that you are looking for, then we are willing to work with you to get you what you need. Have you ever eaten something from the Bullet Hole and thought, “This is so good! I need to share this with others!!” Well, now’s your chance to do that. Please place your order a few days ahead of time to ensure that we will have the product you need.
