If you have been in Gettysburg before, chances are you remember Cafe Saint Amand, the adorable French bistro that recently closed. The corner cafe left an emptiness in town that could only be filled by crepes…and Keith Lowman set out to do just that.

Former executive chef at Christine’s Cafe in Waynesboro, Lowman opened his own branch of the restaurant at the Baltimore Street location in mid-June. Lowman and staff describe their fare as “casual fine dining,” as the restaurant includes a coffee bar, meals for all times of day and, of course, greatly-desired crepes.

Perhaps most exciting is Christine’s inclusive items, including vegan and gluten-free options. The staff is exceptionally accommodating, so do not be shy to make a request if you need to!

In addition to the food, be sure to enjoy the atmosphere at the new eatery. Those who frequented the former cafe will recall decor, such as the lattice in the dining area, while the new spot highlights the ideal balance between classy and casual.

The next time you come to town (because we all know you miss Gettysburg), check out the new Christine’s Cafe. You will not be sorry.
